In the second half of April, between Thursday (April 17) and Saturday (April 19), Osesp performed for the second time in Colombia, this time as a resident of the VII International Festival of Classical Music of Bogotá. The three days of concerts were at the prestigious Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo, located in the northern part of the Colombian capital.

This edition of the festival, which is biannual, celebrates the musical identity of the American continent under the theme Bogotá É América: Século XX e XXI (Bogotá É América: Século XX e XXI). The repertoires presented by Osesp goes from South to North, with a special stop in the myriad of Brazilian works of the Floresta Villa-Lobos program. With this residency, Osesp reaffirms its commitment to strengthening ties with the Latin American music scene, valuing our rich cultural heritage and projecting the art made here beyond Brazilian borders.

Held between April 16 and 19 at the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo and on other stages in Bogotá, the VII International Festival of Classical Music of Bogotá had in its program dozens of orchestras, soloists and classical music performers, from inside and outside Colombia. In addition to Osesp, groups such as the Attacca Quartet and the Third Coast Percussion, and the Colombian National Symphony and Czech National Symphony orchestras are part of the program, not to mention the numerous guest soloists.

Osesp presents three distinct programs in dialogue with the theme of the event, all at the Teatro Mayor: one with a special focus on Latin American music, another dedicated to composers from the United States, and the celebrated Floresta Villa-Lobos, which brings together 70 uninterrupted minutes of Brazilian works, accompanied by a powerful visual narrative of Brazil's fauna and flora.
