Born in Khabarovsk, he graduated from the Kazan State Conservatoire named after N. Zhiganov in 2011.

  

  In 2011-2014, he was a soloist with the Astrakhan State Opera and Ballet Theatre. In 2014-2016, he was a soloist with the Samara Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. In 2016 Ivan Maximeiko joined the Bolshoi Theatre Opera Company. In 2019, he took part in Bolshoi’s tours to France, performing parts of Chaplitsky/Master of Ceremonies in The Queen of Spades and Boyar Nikita Matuta/ Guard’s voice in The Maid of Pskov concert versions (conductor Tugan Sokhiev).
