Since its founding in 2020, the Beijing Forum for Performing Arts (BFPA) has held multiple exchange events, building an open and multilateral platform for exchange among performing arts institutions around the world. In 2021, Centro Cultural Kirchner (CCK) of Argentina joined the BFPA and participated in various activities organized by the BFPA, including presenting wonderful piece in online performance Music From Around The World: A Special Concert Gala Presented by the BFPA which won over 25 million views. Under the framework of the BFPA, National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) and CCK shared successful experience and gained fruitful achievements in cooperation. Recently, the two institutions officially signed the strategic cooperation agreement, which marks the establishment of a long-term partnership.
On May 19th, the Ministry of Culture of Argentina held a press conference to announce the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement. Tristán Bauer, the Minister of Culture of Argentina, and SUN Yi, Minister-Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Argentina attended the conference and made speeches.
Minister Bauer said that 2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the year of friendship and cooperation between China and Argentina. The signing of the agreement with the NCPA marks a milestone for cultural exchange between the two countries. Minister-Counsellor SUN extended Chinese Ambassador ZOU Xiaoli’s congratulations to the signing and said that it is of profound significance for top cultural institutions of the two countries to establish strategic cooperative partnership, providing a new important arena for exchange and mutual learning between cultural institutions and artists of both sides.
